Galaxy Nexus

Manufactured by Samsung Electronics, Galaxy Nexus is the world’s first smartphone to run Android 4.0, Google's latest mobile OS codenamed Ice Cream Sandwich. Powered by a 1.2 GHz dual core processor, it's capable of supporting 4G high speed mobile broadband in both LTE and HSPA globally. The Galaxy Nexus has one of the biggest and brightest screens with curved glass, a Super HD AMOLED touchscreen display with 1280×720 resolution in 16:9 ratio. The built-in 5 megapixel camera is capable of 1080p HD video with front facing camera support. The new barometer feature is designed to generate new app development opportunities and NFC yielded innovations with mobile payment options or contacts sharing.

Galaxy Nexus poses a significant threat to the Apple iPhone smartphones. On February 11, 2012, Apple Inc. launched a 2nd patent lawsuit against Samsung Electronics targeting Galaxy Nexus, alleging four patent violations including the ability to unlock phones by sliding an image and to search for information by voice command.
